According to local reports the Stripers are in, at least schoolies are being potted in the rivers and bays. A couple of times during the weekend I noticed a few people bridge fishing an a bunch of small crafts in the river trolling. About 30 minutes before dinner my father asked if I wanted to hit the river at the bridge to take a few casts. (Hummarock/Marchfied line) Not having my salt gear I used my fathers rod and tackle. I took about 20 or so casts with a large white rubber shad with a leaded head. No hits but was worth trying.
