Myself, my father, and my 2 boys stopped by the Mill St Bridge to test out my new lowering sling. In an effort to test the sling I make several casts off the bridge using a Mepps#1 Silver Bucktail. In a very short time (10 minutes) I was able to pull up 3 Dace. If you cast far enough there is a small pool behind a rock that always holds fish. Lowering the fish down rather than dropping them off the bridge is actually fun for the kids. The only problem is the height of the wall on the street. It's very low and not a place for kids.
The last fish we pulled up was the largest. I let Jr. reel it in and lower it back down with the sling.
