Andy and I set out on the Assabet Tuesday night after work. It was windy but if we stayed close enough to shore we had just enough protection to drift and cast with ease. I went almost an hour without a hit. I ran 2 rods, one with a large black skirted spinner-bait with a giant silver willow blade and the other rod I ran a large silver Mepps #5 with a silver blade. I ended p catching 4 Pikerel, 1 Largemouth, and 2 Crappie on the Mepps and believe it or not, I caught a Sunfish on the spinner-bait. In all, I lost a couple of fish and made out well. One of my better days out since ice fishing. Andy landed a couple of Yellow Perch, on really nice one, a few Crappie and some Sunfish. Fished till dark. Mosquitoes have hatched!
