We fished a Boston Outflow to the Charles on Saturday. My uncle-in-law was also on hand for this experience. Jerome was kind enough to show me THE way to catch Carp. You won’t find any exact methods in this blog about “how to” or how I caught these fish. For now, I’m keeping it to myself. I learned a great new way to tie & snell a hook for proper baiting. It was amazing; Jerome took his Aqu-View underwater movie camera along. After bating just below where we were standing Jemore lowered the camera down to the gravel bottom and sure enough, huge Carp were lurking and swimming past the camera. It was great. I personally landed 5 fish. I PB is show in the picture. Though it may look like a giant, it only weighed 9 or so pounds. It was a great morning of fishing. There was a strong westerly wind and the temp was only 41 or 42 degrees with a slight wind chill. That didn’t seem to affect the fishing much. (I’ll be back there soon)
