I stopped by the Ben Smith Dam last night on my way home. Cold and overcast. The water level has fallen slightly but still moving at a good clip. I took maybe 30 casts. I caught a small Dace that was continuously tapping my spinner (black/silver Rooster Tail) 5 feet from shore. Slow retrieve seemed to work but with the quick current it was tough to keep the line from twisting. My final cast before I left landed in a tree on the other side of the river. Lost the lure.
