Sudbury River - Wayland

5:30am I met Andy at his house. We launched the boat at the Pellam Island Rd Bridge. 48 degrees. To me, it felt cold and i always had trouble with my hands in the cold, especially when they get wet. We motored up river for about an hour and the water just got more shallow as we traveled up river. We finally turned around and headed past the bridge to thte railrod trussel. I ended up with 5 Pickerel and 2 small Bass. The largest of the Pickerel managed to hook himself pretty good. I ended up performing minor emergency surgery on his tongue, we wasn't happy and he survived.
Andy caught a few Pickerel and Bass as well. Nothing camera worthy.
I did happen to find a sought after Mepps Aglia Dressed with the buck tail. The only problem was this was a #4 and not a #5 (the magic lure). I caught one Pickerel on a black willow blade Spinnerbait, 2 Pickerel and an English spoon (similar to a large Swedish Pimple) and the rest on the #4 Aglia.
