Mill Pond - Maynard

I took the kids to the Mill Pond tonight after work, they were begging me to go.We dug a quick ½ dozen worms from the compost and headed down to the pond.
In all the years I’ve been fishing the mill I have never, ever, seen the water level so low. So low!
There is now an exposed elevated transport from, probably from some type of steam, water, or possibly train/cart track from years ago. The water was extremely green in color and we noticed a dead Mallard, things did not look good. Worms and a bobber did not even produce a single bite. I on the other hand was casting a #1 Mepps Aglia and landed what could have been the smallest Bass I’ve ever seen.
