I took Jr. ice fishing for the first time on Saturday. He had a great time. His Uncle John came along. The ice had a solid 1" of water on top and made for a sloppy surface. We were there 10 minutes and Jr. was soaked thru. He did OK and lasted about 3 hours. We had a few flags and the only fish caught was a nice Largemouth (John). The place was once again covered with people/traps. Probably a good place to fish in a couple of weeks when the ice breaks up. Cleaned my equipment and put it away for the season.

Heards Pond - Wayland
