I took about 10/15 casts on the flow side of the Ben Smith Dam. The water was moving very fast and was a little too high. Another fisherman was on his way out complaining of fast moving water. He was right. I was able to get a few nice casts in. Used a small silver/black Rooster Tail. On the way out I took a few casts up on the dammed side of the Assabet. Nothing – no bites.
I also took a ride by Butternut Golf Course and took a few casts in the brook. It too was moving at a good clip. I took at least 30 casts. Again, nothing. High water. Same lure.
