Assaber River - Powder Mill Dam - Acton

I fished the Powder Mill Dam on the way home from work tonight. There was still ice on the river but that didn't stop me from taking a few casts. I took about 30 or 40 casts switching between a black/silver Rooster Tail and a gold Mepps #1 and a Mepps #1 with a minnow body and silver spoon. No bites or any sign of fish. The water was very high on the flow side and a bit lower on the river side. I'll keep trying it at least once a week for the next month until Trout fishing gets going.
